Welcome to our brand new Design Basics video series created in collaboration with Eric Vasquez

We are back with a new episode of our new Design Basics video series. In today’s lesson, we will talk all about the rule of thirds and how you can apply it to your design work to help you improve your designs right away. Similar to some of the other lessons that we’ve covered in the previous episodes, such as contrast, negative space and balance, these are techniques and devices that you should keep in mind for any time you’re working on a design.

We’re going to show you a couple of examples of how you can apply the rule of thirds to your designs to create some balanced and visually appealing designs. We will show you how this technique works with both photography and when using type and layouts.
