In this tutorial, we will be showing you two ways to create duotones in Photoshop using our 100 Hi-Res Photos. The first method involves using the ‘Duotone’ setting. You’ll use the Color Picker to choose the hues you want and then play around with the curves to enhance certain details in the image.
The second method uses a ‘Gradient Map’ adjustment layer and has much more flexibility built in. Essentially, one color maps onto the darker tones of the image, and another onto the lighter tones. Using a gradient map allows us to experiment with the stops and curves, manipulate colors from the underlying image, and lighten and darken areas. If you’re ready, let’s get started on creating your duotone image!
