In today's tutorial, we'll be talking about Illustrator brushes. We're going to look at the three main types of brushes that you will be using in Illustrator. Also, we're going to show you how you can install and configure brushes, that you've downloaded from Design Cuts, and make them paint the way that you'd like them to paint.

Hey Cath,
Aww thank you so much for leaving such a lovely comment!
You are so welcome, we’re really glad that we can share them with you and are super pleased to hear that you’re finding them useful :)
Pretty comprehensive, although I have a question:
Are Illustrator brushes composed of vectors, or can they be bitmaps? And if they can be both, how can you tell? My concern is for resizing by output vendors, particularly for enlargement. Will all brushstrokes scale like vectors, or become badly jagged bitmaps? Thanks for the help… sorry if it seems like a newb question. incorporating bitmaps into Illustrator documents post-dates all my experience with it; hence my confusion.
Hey Ronald,
Thanks so much for your comment!
The great news is AI brushes are almost always vector and PSD brushes are usually bitmap. I’ve just double checked the three products used in this tutorial for you and they are all vector :)
This is very helpful. Thank you for the instruction.
You’re so welcome Jeanne, we’re just so glad that it helps!
