Prairie Girl Soft Grunge Textures

I’m happy to introduce the Prairie Girl textures set – a collection of 20 soft grunge textures to help you achieve the ever popular farmhouse look, effortlessly.

These textures were inspired by old barns and cottages and my goal was to make them look both elegant and shabby. Featuring light colors and aged paint details for the perfect balance of delicacy and country charm.

The Prairie Girl textures were made by hand using the gelatin mono-printing technique. The process involves laying paint on top of a gelatin plate, manipulating it in various ways, and then “printing” the impression on a sheet of paper. Each of these textures was built by layering 3-5 layers of paint for maximum depth and interest, so make sure to check all the previews for some engaging close-ups.

If you’re looking for country-inspired textures that are soft and feminine, without looking too polished, the Prairie Girl textures are for you. Perfect for packaging, branding, collages, art prints, invitations, greeting cards and everything country inspired.

Abstract Textures

A collection of 40 high resolution distressed graphic textures and design elements.
This collection was inspired by the abstract ‘cut & paste’ style made popular by graphic designers David Carson and Chris Ashworth in their work for Ray Gun magazine.
Dirty ink marks, distorted fax prints, photocopies, dry transfers, distressed typographic elements, crop marks, colour bars, halftones, grids, arrows, lines, cardboard, registration marks and various analogue elements are all included.

Layer up and combine elements. experimenting with blending effects in Photoshop to create unique designs for your print or screen based projects.

Cut, paste, sample and resize to build up interesting collage effects.

• 40 black high resolution, transparent .PNG files measuring 420 x 594mm (A2) / 4,961 x 7,016 pixels
• 40 white high resolution, transparent .PNG files measuring 420 x 594mm (A2) / 4,961 x 7,016 pixels
• 40 greyscale high resolution .TIFF files measuring 420 x 594mm (A2) / 4,961 x 7,016 pixels. These can be placed in Adobe Illustrator artwork for colour editing.
• An Adobe Photoshop template with all 40 of the textures on separate layers which can be toggled on or off and also allows for control of blending modes including colour control.
• A visual reference guide in .PDF format.

94 Vintage Leather & Vintage Paper Textures

Introducing our Beautifully Imperfect Collection of Vintage Paper Textures and Leather Textures

This superb collection of high-resolution vintage textures were collected from a 1789 pocket journal that we acquired for $110 (an absolute steal!). We were so excited to find this piece of history and even more so when we found what was within.

Let’s start with the exterior – A soft to touch, perfectly aged, leather wrap with nothing but a long string loosely holding everything together. We scanned the front and back in various positions, with and without the string, to provide as many angles and details as possible, without damaging the journal itself. The end result was…

12 leather/string textures Averaging 3500px x 4951px @300ppi. This includes a full shot of the front of the journal – with and without a shadow.

Now onto the interior – The pages are weathered, worn, and delicate. Fortunately, many were covered with beautiful handwriting documenting the finances and appointments of the tradesman who once owned the journal. We were also pleased to find some completely blank pages – as these can serve as fantastic backdrops to your digital work. They helped us create…

Thanks to modern technology and the creative desire for all things vintage; This 228-year-old ‘Methodical Pocket-Journal’ will live on in its new format.

Just Good Textures v2 Distress Edges

This set includes 18 distressed edges. Use these files to frame your artwork with nice grungy textures. Just like all my other textures, these were created by hand with ink on paper for an authentic and unique look.
