We want your site experience on Design Cuts to be as easy as possible and we know search has been a bit of a sticking point for our community. As such, we’ve recently implemented new search functionality to help you find what you’re looking for as quickly as possible.

Here’s a look at what’s new…

Spelling tolerance and predictions

Now, if you accidently spell a search incorrectly, the system will provide answers based on what it thinks you are looking for.

For example...

Entering 'Shottbam' into the search instead of 'ShoutBam' - the search recognises what you are probably searching for.

No more empty results pages when you cannot spell a difficult name, or simply make a mistake as you type. The new search is smart!

Filtering by deals

Wouldn’t you like to know when there’s relevant products on offer – now you can.

Once you’ve completed a search you can simply check a box for ‘latest deals’ and find all the latest offers in your area of interest.

Combine this functionality with our increasing discount structure and start watching the savings rack up.

The Speed

There’s no more twiddling your thumbs on Design Cuts whilst the spinning wheel turns to find search results, the new functionality means any search is lightning fast – that’s not a factual statement, we haven’t actually timed it against lightening, but you get the gist.

Not only this, the results start populating as you type so you can instantly see relevant products.

It’s only the beginning

Whilst the new search functionality should definitely make your time on the site easier, it’s just the beginning of our plans for search and other website developments to improve your experience.

Phase two for search will be kicking off in the New Year, along with plenty of other exciting bits 'n' pieces that we’ll talk about in due course.

Until then, if there’s anything you’d like to see improved or added on the website, please don’t hesitate to get in touch and let us know – all feedback is gratefully received. This goes for feedback on what you think of the new search functionality too!
