The Creative Journey is a unique insight into how to build a creative business from scratch. Follow along as Jo Fallon shows the Design Cuts community the ups and downs of starting her business The Cotswold Chalkboard.
Jo starts this episode of the Creative Journey with highlighting some of her work, including the latest templates she has created for the Design Cuts Chalk Pack.
Later in the week, Jo is giving us an insight into her work schedule and tells us she’s tired as she’s been working 13h days and she’s in need of some rest.
Jo makes a very honest confession and a reveals that it’s been a very quiet period for work, which caused her to be demotivated and not feel very productive with looking for work. She’s also been stepping out of her comfort zone and talks about personal things, such as struggling a bit with finances and rethinking her career choices.
After the emotions have passed, Jo looked at the situation with a different set of eyes and made her realise that there are ways to generate more income, so she is determined to get out there and focus on upcoming projects. Good luck Jo!
