The Creative Journey is a unique insight into how to build a creative business from scratch. Follow along as Jo Fallon shows the Design Cuts community the ups and downs of starting her business The Cotswold Chalkboard.

In this episode of the Creative Journey, business is really blooming for Jo and she is getting swamped with design work for lots of different projects. We know that for any designer this means working hard to meet the deadlines, staying up really late and drinking lots of coffee, but despite this, we’re really happy to see work really pick up for Jo :)

We get a glimpse into Jo’s very busy week and see her working on the menu board as well as an international chalkboard welcoming guests to the Upper Lock Cafe. She is also drawing the chalkboard for the Rock the Cotswolds event, for which she got a nomination – well done Jo :) It’s really interesting to see how Jo plans her work and she kindly explains the process of drafting her lettering design, based on how much time she will be able to allocate at the venue.

It looks like Jo has rocked this week and managed to get all the work done in the end – the event chalkboard looks amazing :)
