In today’s tutorial we’re looking at how to use the Live Paint Tool to colour art in Illustrator. For this tutorial we will use two circles which have no fill but with a stroke. We will colour the circles using the Live Paint Tool to make it look as if the two circles are linked. Let’s begin!

Hmmm. I’d usually go about this kind of thing by alternating select/apply with the Eyedropper tool but the fact that you can colour individual sections of objects without having to knock them out with the Pathfinder could come in handy. Thanks for the tip!
