Learn to draw beautiful flowers, even the difficult ones! And master using them to create gorgeous designs.
In this course you’ll learn how to tackle complex floral elements with ease. Become proficient at breaking down botanical components into easy shapes, helping you draw even the most complex flowers.
This is a two-part class packed full of tips and advice.
Part One: We’ll start with sketching the basics, then move onto more complex flowers where I’ll show you various ways to approach tricky elements and angles. You’ll learn techniques to help you tackle any flower!

The scanner I use is a Cannon CanoScan 9000F MarkII. The make and model of scanner isn’t all that important, just remember to scan at the highest resolution and at the largest size. The larger and sharper the image, the better the trace results in Adobe Illustrator.
It’s preferable to have a scanner that can scan at high resolution (300 – 1200 dpi) to retain all the details in your drawing but if you don’t have access to one, you can use your smart phone. Make sure you have good lighting and that your drawing is sharp and in focus. Use the highest resolution your smart phone has to offer.
If you are hoping to do more hand drawn artwork in the future, I highly recommend investing in a professional scanner, it will make all the difference to your end result.
