I keep looking for the mockups artists use to sell their products. I see final images in your bundles all the time. Images w/displacement maps so you can put your designs on them. Lots of tote bags, purses, bedsheets, pillows, objects.
But I’ve yet to see product mockups WE can use for our art: photos or clip art. Beyond a logo on a coffee cup or wine bottle.
I am really stumped. I’ve looked. Yet when I ask here, I get told, hey, just mockups. Which makes me curl up and go away, cos I’m not an idiot. I know what I see in your FAB clip art bundles. But I can’t find what your cool artists use. ANY clues greatly appreciated!
Some POD (print on demand) will do the mockups for you.
But if you don’t use their services, cos you are not selling the products, but only the clip art or photos for them, you gotta make your own mockups.
Not books, not mags, not phone, not frames. I don’t want to see sofas unless I can change their covering. Not wall art. Not a plant. I want to put my work on real three dimensional objects.
I know this bundle is very cool. I don’t mean to put it down. But I’ve seen it. I’ve bought so many similar mockups from you.
Again, I am not being negative. I know I’m not the only person looking for true mockups!! To me, a mockup includes being able to wrap images around the product. Like the tees, which are cool. But other products. Thanks in advance.
Thanks for all your great products! I just finished creating a 6.5 hr Photoshop class as part of a program I’m creating.
I used a few pieces of gorgeous watercolor clip art I’ve gotten from DesignCuts over the years. 95% of images used are my own photos. But I wanted to show working with clip art. Thank you!

I would recommend looking at photoshop files that are called, “scene creators” or looking into Adobe Dimensions.
I believe Adobe Dimensions is something you would enjoy a lot, you get to control the entire environment and wrap products in your designs, etc. Certainly worth taking a look, and if you have CC you already have it!

For instance, I seldom use standard bottle labels sizes – clients expect and demand that we be playful with the designs, so, if possible, some mockup creators could offer a way to do that. (Strangely enough, the shape of the bottle is ussually less important; three in total will suffice, the Bordeaux, the Bourgogne, and the “iternation”l, the one that seems standard in Chile, the US, etc.)
Same things for business cards: as far as I now, in all budles I’ve bought there has not been a single square or standard but rounded corners one. Which means that in many cases I was not able to use them, which is obviously a pity.
Not being negative either, but simply pointing out that after a few years sourcing great resources from DC, I?m not sure we need yet another standard business card, iphone scree, or A4 mockup, yet these keep coming in, and we’re still without easy ways to do more creative presentations.
I imagine there are limitations to what can and cannot be done with mockup, but seeing what some producers are able to provide, I’m sure the more talented among them would have this within their grasp.
