“Craquelure” is a French word that defines the pattern of dense or peeling cracking formed on the surface of materials.

Fine art, gently weathered textures created from ageing, crackled stone walls in rural France. Subtle and beautiful, they are perfect for adding a touch of antiqued, crackled patina to your photography or design.

The textures range from the delicate, light, dove grey of “La Brume” (Mist) to the rich antique gold of “Venice” and the deep sepia grunge of “Epic”.

Included are 4 grayscale transparent overlays that are the source of the crackling in the textures so you can create your own effects.

Also included is a color version layered crackled overlay with a vintage edging Tiff file so you can make adjustments to the colours, blend modes and opacities to suite your needs. (There’s a .PNG version as well.) Actually the Edge Overlay in the layered file is a bonus overlay!

The textures and overlays are all 5184 x 3456 pixels.
