Fine Liner – Affinity Brushes

My best-selling fine liner brushes are now available for Affinity Designer – create authentic looking fine liner art with ease!

Fine Liner - Affinity Brushes

I developed this pack after taking a trip down memory lane sorting through old school and art college sketchbooks, where I re-discovered a love for the fine-liner. I used to spend more hours than I probably should have making patterns, shapes and doodles.

This authentic and versatile tool kit includes a huge range of different pen marks – straight and rough outlines, dots and dashes, stippling, hatching, zigzags and more. I’ve also included a selection of fine liner textures – use these to fill areas quickly.

Included in this set:

• The Fine Liner Brushes – 6 Stipple Brushes. 7 Dot and dash pattern brushes. 4 Scribble and zigzag pattern brushes.
1 Outline pattern brush – use it for medium and long strokes. 12 Short outline art brushes. 5 Star and cross pattern brushes. 8 Star and cross scatter brushes. 3 Parallel line brushes. 4 Hatched line brushes. 3 Tapered line brushes. For use in Designer/Vector Persona.
• The Fine Liner Raster Brushes – 3 Raster Stipple brushes. For use with the Pixel Persona.
• The Fine liner Texture Patterns – In ten varieties. Use these to fill large areas quickly. Supplied as one-click Affinity Designer styles.
• A Quick Reference Guide – This will help you quickly find the right brushes for the task in hand.
• Instructions – A very thorough guide on how to load, apply and then adjust the brushes is supplied.

Hey. I’m having difficulty getting the Fine Liner Textures to work with Affinity Designer? The Brushes installed fine. But when trying to use the Fine Liner Included textures I can’t seem to find how to install them or use them as fills? They are grayed out when I select bitmap in the fill tool? I’m also having the same issue with Lighthouse Brushes Pack Patterns? The brushes install fine but the Patterns are grayed out when I try to use them as fills. I’m rather new to iPad/affinity designer so any help would be great. Thanks in advance

Thank you so much for reaching out to us Lauren and I’m really sorry to hear that you are experiencing difficulty importing your brushes.

You should be able to download your files directly from your account onto your iPad, however, you can always transfer your files over from your computer via dropbox or airdrop if you prefer. To import your brushes in Affinity Designer, you will firstly need to ensure that you are in your Designer persona, as these are vector brushes. To import them, tap on your vector brush tool and open up your brushes tab. From here, you should be able to add these to your brushes list :).

I have popped you over an email to help guide you further thought the steps Lauren, so rest assured, we will get you working with these really soon!

      Hey Ally,

Thanks so much for the comment and I can definitely help! The brushes in this pack are vector brushes and not raster- you will use them in the Draw Persona in Affinity!

      I hope that helps :)

Are these true vector brushes that can be expanded into vector shapes?

          Thanks for commenting Ethan!

These brushes are all vector so you should certainly be able to expand and resize these to fit your particular needs :).
