Transform tired text into beautiful, hand-drawn typography!
Building on the popular Fineliner Brushes and Patterns Pack – this toolkit uses the same aesthetic but has been carefully tailored to the particular needs of hand-lettering. I developed the text effects and brushes together to ensure that they work in harmony and therefore achieve amazing results for you every time.
So, add a flourish to your food branding; stippling to your stationery; emphasis on your favourite inspirational quotation; and make your wedding stationery catch every eye!
If you’re new to using graphic styles and brushes, don’t worry, thorough usage instructions are included. Please note: This is not a font pack and so no fonts are included but I’ve included information about the fonts used in the preview images.
Included in this set:
The Text Effects
• A whole load of amazingly authentic patterns and effects have been bundled together into 30 one-click graphic styles. Use these to transform your text instantly and easily!
The Brushes
• Over 40 decorative brushes were specifically designed to work in harmony with the text effects. There’s everything from banners and bunting to foliage and floral flourishes.
• If you are a tablet user, you’ll be pleased to know that a version of the brushes with pressure sensitivity enabled is included.
Fineliner Patterns
• All the patterns that are used in the graphic styles are also included and can be used separately.
A Quick Reference Guide
• This will help you quickly find the right brushes and text effects for the task in hand.
Example Files
• A selection of the preview images. Use these to see how I achieved the look or adapt them to make your own designs. Please note: all text has been converted to outlines on the example files.
Instructions
• A very thorough guide on how to load, apply and then adjust the brushes is supplied.

Can you use this with procreate 5?
Annabel Smith –
Hey Jennifer,
Thank you so much for commenting!
This pack has been created specifically for Adobe Illustrator so unfortunately it may not work as intended in Procreate. We do always list the software compatibility on all of our deal pages so that you can see which products should be able to work for you. In case you haven’t seen already, we do have a dedicated Procreate section in our Marketplace, which you can check out here: https://www.designcuts.com/product-category/procreate/
Joy Kjer –
I wish this was compatible with Coreldraw.
SJ Bennett –
I am so sorry for any disappointment caused Joy!
We’ll definitely let the designer know for future :)
Barb –
Are all of the items in the previews included, for example, the curved banner? Getting ready to purchase…
SJ Bennett –
Hey Barb,
Thanks so much for your comment!
I’ve just double checked this one for you and the designer has provided the curved banner, however, it actually comes in it’s original straight format, but you can use the Anchor Point Tool to manipulate it :)
Barb Johnson –
OK, thank you. I’ll have to learn how to do that.
SJ Bennett –
If you have any issues Barb, you can always pop us over an email on hello@designcuts.com

I am tempted to try my hand (no pun intend…who am I kidding, of course it was intended!) at lettering favorite verses and quotes. (Is there a specific name for that?) I love this product but will wait for my purchase even though the intro price reduction is begging me to pull the trigger. (No worries, no guns are on the DC premises!) I really wish there was a way to put this in my favorites or save for later purchase kinda thing…hint, hint. :D
Annabel Smith –
Haha we always LOVE a good pun here at DC HQ Rebecca lol!
We’re so glad to hear that you love our Fineliner Type Decorators Tool Kit and we hope that you really enjoy picking this one up. We’re so sorry for any disappointment caused by our website not yet including a Wish List function on our website, rest assured our Tech Team are on the case to try and find a plug in that will work with our current software so this is defintiely on their radar!

Thanks again so much for your feedback, we absolutely love receiving it and will use it to work on improving our deals to better cater for our community’s needs. We want our community to love their purchases so If there was ever anything else you’d like to see, please do let us know and I can definitely take a look- we want your experience to be as bespoke to each individual as possible :)

I’ve just used this for a book cover. This is a huge time saver! Looks so real it fooled the editor and he asked if I had made for “real” with pen and paper. Fairly easy to use with a good tutorial and “how-to” included.
Pull the trigger!
SJ Bennett –
That’s so amazing to hear Daniel, thank you so much for taking the time to leave us a comment and for your support :)
Barb –
Show us your cover, Daniel! Pretty please?
Daniel Jernberg –
It was sent to the printers today so I can do that now. I had some trouble with the patterns within the letters. They don’t seem to align perfect. I got thin white lines in the lettering and had to fix that in Photoshop.
I’ll put it up over on the forums.
SJ Bennett –
Hey Daniel,
Oh no i’m so sorry to hear this! If you don’t have any luck over in the forum, please do pop us an email on hello@designcuts.com and we’d be happy to take a look at this for you :)
