Questions answered by Claudia in this session:

  • Hailey Kernohan:
    • Advice on finding inspiration? Also any sneak peeks into what you’re working on?
    • And sketching! Like how to do that first step of making an illustration
    • Could I also ask about getting art printed (for hanging in the wall)? Like what settings, what to look for in a printing place, and how to make the best.
  • Kristin Dragos:
    • I’d love to hear some inspiration for growing an audience for and selling prints of my artwork. I sell a lot in person, but would love to make use of more online avenues for selling and finding customers.
  • Neeta budhraja:
    • I don’t know if I can ask this question.. I also don’t know if this question is relevant topic… My question is: How do you add your voice in the video lessons ? Do you add your voice separately or do you do while making your video lessons? Do you use a voice recorder? If so, can you please suggest which voice recorder is suitable and has noise cancellation feature? I observed, Your video lessons are having only your voice but I am having tough time in this regard. I have a house getting demolished and then will be reconstructed just next door and it’s so much noise all around. My videos have all these noises and my air conditioner also has a noise that gets recorded. It may take 2 years to get this house build and for past 3 years another house was getting reconstructed which did not allow me to make a peaceful video.
  • Adriann:
    • What strategies do you have in place for days where you can’t stop comparing your art to others and your feelings in a rut?
    • When you’re adding light and shadow what are your quick tips?
    • Do you use similar palettes across all your art, or do you make new ones depending on the outcome you’re going for?
    • Do you have any advice for adding human-like expressions to characters such as animals, inanimate objects and so on?
  • JR Starzynski
    • How do you decide what to teach for your courses?
    • I recently saw that you have some background in traditional animation! What did you love most about creating stop motion animations and how does it affect your more recent work?
