Hi, I’m trying to use the Thread Generating Action for CS6 but it stops at “Make” and there are no tutorial or file included with the pack on how to use it. Can someone point me to any help documents on how to use the action included on this pack? Any help is greatly appreciated.

      Hey Hannah,

I am so sorry that you are having trouble with this one!

Would you mind confirming what version of PS you are working in? There is a user guide included in the download so i’ve attached this for you, are these the steps that you are following? I’ve just popped you over an email so that we can go through this in more detail and get you up and running :)

Hi Sarah, thanks for the reply. I’m using the old Adobe PS CS6. I tried both the Thread Generating CS6.atn and Thread Generating CC.atn and the same error, I’m guessing the file for CS6 is using a command that is not available for CS6. I tried to follow the included instruction (User Guide.pdf) but it only contains 2 steps so I’m not sure if there is something else I need to do before running the action script. I started with a blank document, added a new layer, selected an area using marquee tool, like a small square, painted it with cyan, applied a leather style then proceed with the Thread Generating action by selecting 15px indent for text and raster and clicked play. It stopped at ‘Make fill layer’. What am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance and sorry for the trouble.

          Hey Hannah,

Thanks so much for taking the time to come back to me with the additional information- this is really helpful!

It’s a lot easier for me to assist you with this via email as the thread can get a little lengthy whilst we troubleshoot this, so i’ve popped you over another email :)
