Northwell Font

Introducing: Northwell! A rustic, dapper handwritten font with a personal charm. With quick dry strokes and a signature style, Northwell is perfect for branding projects, homeware designs, product packaging – or simply as a stylish text overlay to any background image.

Northwell Font

Included in this set:

• Northwell – A handwritten script font containing upper & lowercase characters, numerals and a large range of punctuation.
• Northwell Alt – This is a second version of Northwell, with a completely new set of both lower and uppercase characters. If you wanted to avoid letters looking the same each time to recreate a custom-made style, or try a different word shape, simply switch to this font for an additional layout option.
• Northwell Swash – A set of 20 hand-drawn swashes, the perfect finishing touch to underline your Northwell text. Simply install this as a separate font, select it from your font menu and type any A-U character to create a swash.

Features:

• Fonts are provided in .TTF & .OTF formats. I recommend installing the .TTF files, and the .OTF only if necessary. There is no difference in function with either format.
• Fonts include multilingual support.
• Ligatures are also available for several lowercase characters (double-letters which flow more naturally). These are only accessible via software with OpenType capability or a glyphs panel, e.g. Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator

Please note that Stylistic Alternates will require professional design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign or Inkscape.

Language Support: English, French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, German, Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, Polish, Indonesian, Filipino, Malay

    Hi,
I’m just wondering if there’s any way to try a sample text out? I’m curious to see what my text will look like before I purchase.

    Thanks,
    Jennie

International language support. Does this mean it contains “æ Æ ø Ø å Å” too?

      Hey Tarn,

Thanks so much for the comment on this one. So this product actually lists multi- lingual support as opposed to International support. You can check the language support for this font in the font description but I have also included it here for you: English, French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, German, Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, Polish, Indonesian, Filipino, Malay

I hope this helps, and please don’t hesitate to contact me should you have any other questions.

Having trouble with this font in InDesign. Once we enlarge over 40pt the use of M or W causes the word to disappear on the prints. I know this maybe an InDesign issue, just curious if anyone else has experienced this.

    Hi,
I´m considering this font but wonder what the wording “Please note that Stylistic Alternates will require professional design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign or Inkscape.” means?
    What is Stylistic Alternates?
    Kind regards,
    Tone

      Hey Tone,

We’re so sorry for any confusion caused by stylistic alternatives.

So stylistic alternatives are variations in the fonts that allow for you to have more creative control over the appearances of your font when used in a word. For example, if you had a ‘tt’ written in Northwell font, you might want to select a ligature that will allow you to have the t’s to be crossed by a single line to make your text appear more naturally handwritten.

I hope this helps Tone and I have popped you an email to help if you have any other questions about stylistic alternates :)

      Hey Adele,

Thank you so much for your comment!

      Fonts are an amazing resource- they can literally be used in all types of text and design based programmes once they have been installed onto your computer. I have attached some really helpful links for installing fonts below;

      PC- http://bit.ly/1wjViMb

      Mac- http://bit.ly/1hBPGEL

      YouTube Tutorial- http://bit.ly/2eQIGd9

Please note however that Stylistic Alternates will require professional design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign or Inkscape though.

      I hope this helps :D

I am looking to make a garment label with just the name of the store in a scripted font. Does the license cover this option if I sell 100+ garments?

      Hey Tia,

Thanks so much for commenting and I can definitely help- we really appreciate you checking your licensing query with us!

So you can definitely use Northwell to create your labels as you have described. I would recommend reading the licence in full as we do have a few restrictions, one being the $25 million cap but we don’t have a cap on how many items you can create :) You can check out the licence in full here: https://www.designcuts.com/licensing/

Hello, I would like to know what this font would look like with the words I intend to use. Please, can you email me a way for this to happen?

    Thank you

Thanks so much your comment Keri-Ann! We unfortunately do not currently have a feature to allow our community to test out these fonts for licensing reasons, however if you have any specific words that you would like to see in this font, please do let me know and I would be happy to pop you over some examples of myself taking this for a spin :).

As another option for you Kerri-Ann, I would be more than happy for you to purchase the font, and trial it out and see if it’s a good fit for you. Hopefully you do find Northwell to be useful, however if you decide it’s not for you, please let me know within 30 days of your purchase and I will happily organise a full refund for you.

Will I be able to use this on WordPress.org? I’d like to use it on my personal blog which runs on Genesis Framework….

Thanks so much for commenting Heather and it is great to hear that you would love to use Northwell for your blog!

With using fonts as part of your main body text on a blog or website, you will need to use web fonts, as desktop fonts can affect the overall webpage layout and may not work properly for you. If you are using your font to create graphics to include on your blog however, then this should be fine as you can upload these as flattened images :).

Northwell only includes desktop fonts unfortunately, however we would be happy to organise an additional licence for the web font if you would like to be able to use Northwell for your blog Heather! I have just popped you over an email to get a little more information about your project and will certainly be able to help!
