My name is Nathan Brown. I’ve been a professional artist for a little over two decades now, but I’ve been creating art since I was a kid. It’s a lifelong love and passion for me, and it’s a subject that I love to teach.
I’ve created this course for anyone who wants to learn digital watercolor using traditional techniques on the iPad in Procreate. We’ll start from scratch and cover the basics all the way through to more advanced topics. So whether you’re brand new to digital painting, or you have some experience with the medium, this course has something for you. I’ll be sharing my thoughts and techniques for finding the right artistic mindset, how to sketch for watercolor, how to plan and compose, how to choose the right brush, and all of the tricks and techniques that I use to achieve realism in digital watercolor.
By the end of the course you’ll have confidence, and you’ll have learned every step of a watercolor painting from beginning to final printing. The course is structured to include both theory and practical examples. So you can watch along or jump right in with project assignments as you progress. I’ve also included a set of custom brushes for Procreate, specifically made for this course, so that you’ll have everything you need to follow along. There is also layered artwork and examples so that you can study and review as we work.
I’m so excited for you to take this course. So grab your iPad and get ready to explore digital watercolor painting with a whole new perspective!

Michele Polselli –
Last year when I began painting on my iPad with Procreate, I happily discovered DesignCuts and purchased Nathan Brown’s Master Watercolor Brushkit for Procreate. One glance of the plethora of watercolor brushes and I knew it was a goldmine. Having experienced only painting with 1 brush as a Kindergarten teacher, I honestly didn’t know where to begin! So recently, when Nathan’s “Masterclass Watercolor for Procreate” appeared in my inbox, I didn’t hesitate to follow the link to purchase! The steps involved in creating a painting including sketching, value, contrast, color theory and more are superior. The class includes excellent painting videos, a concise brush pack, support photos and superb auditory instructions about the process for obtaining realistic watercolor paintings digitally on Procreate. It has thoroughly brought me to a new level of learning. The final project, a Sea Turtle, has propelled me on a quest to create an infinite number of sea creatures, flowers, birds, animals and more. Thank You Nathan for the inspiration and the masterful course!

I’ve been working at actual watercolor painting for awhile, and I still love it. But, I also love how easy it is to work from my iPad, and Procreate is a lot of fun. I’m wondering if this course would also benefit me as a watercolor artist?
What you’re showing here is exactly what I’d love to be doing on paper as well.

Hey Anne,
Thanks for getting in touch and it’s great to hear that you are interested in picking up this masterclass. Whilst this masterclass is for Procreate, you can certainly use the tips and tricks you picked up on your physical watercolour designs. Hope this helps :).

Hi Zack,
Can you tell me how many in-depth lessons are there? While watching the crowdcast episode Nathan showed several artworks, including a bear painting. Does this course include the instructions for the complete paintings? Or just the turtle?
Thanks.
Zack Parks –
Hey Mario,
Thanks for getting in touch and It is great to hear that you are interested in picking up Nathan’s full masterclass. There are 14 in depth lessons with a two part break down of the turtle design. If there is a particular painting that you are interested in please pop us an email at hello@designcuts.com and we can point link you to some of our previous live sessions with Nathan in which he designs other watercolour paintings :).

Hey Juan,
Thank you for your comment. We really appreciate you reaching out to let us know you noticed the RRP has changed for Nathan’s Watercolor Procreate Masterclass. There was an introductory offer which has now ended, and as this is a relatively new product in the marketplace the RRP has been reviewed. The course is very in depth, and we hope you can see that the new RRP better reflects the value of the course. I have popped over an email to you which you should receive shortly, and I would love to hear more of your thoughts Juan.
