Árida

Árida pays homage to the Argentinian city of San Juan, located in the semi-desert Cuyo region, where cacti are abundant; a characteristic feature of arid habitats.

Árida, inspired by the vegetation of the place, looks sharp and aggressive at large sizes but it also feels friendly at a smaller scale⁠—portraying the dichotomy between humans and nature.

Árida comes in 5 weights, ranging from Regular (with a matching italic) to Black. The Regular variant contains 773 glyphs and its Italic counterpart is composed of 939 glyphs. Gabriela, yet more versatile, shares all of its DNA with Gabriela Stencil. The font is an excellent choice for short and medium-length text.

Didonesque Script has the flair of a script typeface, yet retains the rigid structure and incline of its cousins in the Didonesque family. This makes for an interesting approach – the flamboyancy of this script is restrained which resonates a distinctly reserved and formal tone. Bw Darius design is halfway between the transitional and didone genres, with a sharper approach to terminals without falling on the stiffness of the didones. The wide skeleton, modern proportions and high contrast, all contribute to the opulent personality of this font.

It comes in 4 weights (from a delicate Light to a robust and sturdy Black) with matching true italics and a stencil version, allowing brands to use the different voice tonalities within the same style. Its tall x-height and open apertures makes it fit for display but also body text purposes, performing well both on screen and printed.

It supports all European Latin languages and it includes OpenType features like Old-Style figures, fractions, case sensitive forms, standard ligatures and unusual discretionary ligatures.

Fellbaum Grotesk is a new condensed font family with both grotesque and cursive/humanist attributes.

Fellbaum Grotesk Regular presents a clean, “grotesk” exterior, while the Italic version features faint slab-style flourishes. These characteristics, combined with a subtle stroke contrast and slightly extended x-height make for a distinct, and artisanal appearance.

The family was inspired by the condensed & sterile, yet quirky, sans serifs found on a lot of vintage apothecary labels & municipal street signage. Both styles in the family are modest enough to work as secondary fonts, but also sport enough character to work as a primary sans face for wordmarks, logos, headers, etc.

Mello is a bold, easy going Grotesque. It was designed for display, branding, advertising, packaging or anywhere a strong but friendly voice is needed. Mello features soft curves and rounded corners; set in 4 widths and 8 weights. The character set is robust, covering extended Latin. The default forms are contemporary with alternates including: single-story a, two-story g, rounded top A, traditional G, rounded leg R, rounded K, and rounded form y in both uppercase and lowercase, all separated into individual style sets for control and customization. A set of icons rounds out the character set, with hand signs and shapes.
