This is a collection of illustrations from a book published in 1897 on the Enshu style of flower arranging. It became extremely popular not only among the nobles and members of the Samurai class but also among the masses.

During the “Bunka – Bunsei -Period” of the Edo Period, (1804-1829) the Enshu style of flower arranging spread widely throughout the country.

These illustrations were brought back from the past, scanned, digitally enhanced, background removed, and also turned in .PNG’s just for you.

Like flowing calligraphy, this elegant ancient style is composed of gracefully curving lines that will add beauty to your next project.

Enjoy!
