The Futur: Greatest Font Bundle of all Time

URW Type Foundry

Futura

Futura is the prototype of a geometric and constructed linear sans serif and the most commonly used font of its kind, used to date. Futura, very much influenced by the Bauhaus movement in Germany, was designed in 1927 by Paul Renner. Although being around for almost 90 years, Futura seems eternally young and fresh which also explains its continuous popularity with designers and typographers. Futura simply means efficiency and functionality, documented by both its many usages as corporate type (e.g. Volkswagen, formerly IKEA, Vuitton, Shell, formerly HP, SMA and many more) as well as in various famous film projects (e.g. Kubrick, Anderson etc.). Futura’s iconic status was probably established when it walked on the moon with the Apollo 11 crew in 1969. It was used for the lettering of the plaque that was left up there.

This is the world’s most comprehensive and biggest offering of high-quality Futura fonts!

Included in this set:

  • Futura
  • Futura Condensed
  • Futura Display including Art Deco, SC and DC D

Language Support: Afrikaans, Basque, Breton, Catalan, Danish, Dutch, English, Finnish, French, Gaelic (Irish, Scots), German, Icelandic, Indonesian, Irish, Italian, Norwegian, Portuguese, Saami (Southern), Spanish, Swahili, Swedish.

URW Din

The digital outline fonts, DIN 1451 Fette Engschrift and Fette Mittelschrift were created by URW in 1984 and are the basis for all DIN font families. Both typefaces were designed for the URW SIGNUS system and were mainly used for the production of traffic signs.

They have since become so popular in other areas that we have developed a complete DIN font family with 48 styles in OpenType Pro: URW DIN. It is semi-condensed, which is unique among the DIN fonts, so it has a broad spectrum of typographic uses. Its large x-height makes it perfect for use in e-publishing (web, apps, e-Books etc) and its adjusted stroke width between the regular and bold weights enhances its quality and distinguishability in print.

Language Support: Afrikaans, Basque, Breton, Catalan, Danish, Dutch, English, Finnish, French, Gaelic (Irish, Scots), German, Icelandic, Indonesian, Irish, Italian, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Saami (Southern), Spanish, Swahili, Swedish.

URW Bodoni

URW Bodoni is a family of 50 serif typefaces first designed by Giambattista Bodoni in 1798. The typeface is classified as didone modern. Bodoni followed the ideas of John Baskerville, as found in the printing type Baskerville, that of increased stroke contrast and a more vertical, slightly condensed, upper case, but taking them to a more extreme conclusion. Bodoni had a long career and his designs evolved and differed, ending with a typeface of narrower underlying structure with flat, unbracketed serifs, extreme contrast between thick and thin strokes, and overall geometric construction. Though these later designs are rightfully called “modern”, the earlier designs are “transitional”.

Bodoni admired the work of John Baskerville and studied in detail the designs of French type founders Pierre Simon Fournier and Firmin Didot. Although he drew inspiration from the work of these designers, above all from Didot, no doubt Bodoni found his own style for his typefaces, which deservedly gained worldwide acceptance among printers.

Language Support: Afrikaans, Basque, Breton, Catalan, Danish, Dutch, English, Finnish, French, Gaelic (Irish, Scots), German, Icelandic, Indonesian, Irish, Italian, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Saami (Southern), Spanish, Swahili, Swedish.

Baskerville

Baskerville is one of the most seminal serif font families of the past few centuries. Originally designed by John Baskerville in the 1750s, it has remained a triumph of form and legibility. URW’s modern revival includes an astonishing 51 styles, spread across 5 gorgeous weights.

Baskerville is beautifully versatile – designed for high-quality print applications, yet effortlessly applicable to modern applications such as web and digital media.

An outspoken contrast between the thick and thin strokes, combined with a vertical position of the axis results in improved legibility. Other typical characteristics of Baskerville are the distinctive swash tail on the uppercase Q and the cursive serifs in Baskerville Oblique.

Baskerville was regarded to be a technical milestone and is an important reference to later designed Didone typefaces.

Add this timeless classic to your font library.

Isidora

Designed by Enrique Hernández V, Isidora is a modern geometric font based on the classic typefaces of the early 20th Century yet with a contemporary and functional touch. In spite of its strong and rational structure, the font also looks friendly and expressive, thanks to its rounded terminals. In addition, its diagonal terminal cuts give it a softer and more rounded appearance.

Isidora consists of two 7-weight subfamilies: one (more classic) Regular and one Alternative (more contemporary and display). Both subfamilies come in italic version, giving a total of 28 fonts.

Isidora is the perfect font for headlines, logotypes, branding, packaging, publishing and web use. The family contains a set of 438 characters—supporting 207 different languages—and also includes an alternative character set, which allows for more versatility when composing text.

You’re right. An internationally not interesting offer. Too few languages, therefore only interesting for customers from the American area. Too bad.

The language support of these fonts are actually at the discretion of the designers. URW have only been able to confirm support for the languages listed unfortunately, so we are really sorry if you find that these are not useful for your particular projects.

We always love receiving feedback from our community Michal, and we will certainly relay this to the designers to see if they would consider including an update in future for you!

This is very confusing, as the email I’ve got from the Futur tells me “You’ll be able to use this extensive selection across logos, work for sale, client work and much more with the assurance you’re covered. Since the licensing is the most generous out there – covering commercial usage and extended license.”

I would love to have clarification on this! I would use it for client web design / logo projects / graphic design. Thanks!

    Hi,

I was also concerned about the license details and went to the comments to see what other designers thought. It’s clear that licensing is a general worry. I have no doubt that offering a private e-mail for further help is a procedure carried out with the best intention… but from outside, as a person that normally don’t engage in the comments – just reads them – it seems that you don’t want to openly clarify this issue, which makes me think about this bundle as something dodgy or not as good as I first thought it was.

I wasn’t feeling this way until I got to the comment section and started reading the repetitive answer of “I have just popped you over an email”. I understand that you guys need to help individually to give the best answer every person can get, and that’s good. Again, I think you do it with the best intention. Although, this is an issue that should be crystal clear in the description of the product.

      Hey Alex,

Thanks you so much for taking the time to comment and we are really sorry if you feel that our licence terms are unclear in any way! We always strive to be as open and transparent with our community as possible, and our Licence page is available for our community to refer back to anytime here: https://www.designcuts.com/licensing/ so our apologies if you feel that these details are hidden in any way.

Our comments page does not actually alert our community when they have received a reply, so we will always follow up with an email to ensure that we can get back to everyone as soon as possible to help!

We completely appreciate that licensing can be a bit of a tricky subject to navigate, so our support team are always happy to chat and clarify our terms further if you have any queries. So that we can ensure that we can tailor our emails to your specific projects, we will always ask for a little more information about what you are trying to create. This also saves us overloading you with information that is not relevant to your projects.

We are always working on trying to ensure that our website is as convenient to navigate as possible, so please do always feel free to get in touch with your feedback. I would love to be able to chat more about where you feel that our licence terms are confusing in any way, so I have popped you over an email just to get a little more information from you. Hey Annabel, could you please also send me some kind of clarification about the term “single-use” on your Licence page? I want to use the fonts for projects as websites, flyers, brochures etc.

All of our bundles, Marketplace items and freebies comer with a single user extended licence. This means that only the named user is permitted to work with their resources, as these cannot be shared with anyone else. You can definitely use your resources across unlimited projects, including websites, flyers and brochure designs, providing that you are adhering to our licence terms :).

When designing for a client, we refer to your customers as one-time clients. This basically means that your design is a bespoke project for your one client, rather than being a templated design that you sell en-masse to multiple clients. I have just popped you over an email to be able to go into a little further detail on our licensing with you Konstantin, so I hope that this helps!

I would like to receive an email about licenses as well. I see some Don’ts which I am confused about. https://www.designcuts.com/licensing/

    – Can I use the fonts to produce (movie) posters, banners, and flyers and make money with it?
    – Can I use the fonts to display text as textures in games without making money with it? Do they have to be textured or can I use 3d vector planes to e.g. diplay an oversized interface without blurring the outlines by upscaling an image file or using a larger resolution but also larger file size texture? 3D games have vector shapes as well which are perfect for upscaling.
    – Can I use the fonts to sell vectorised brand designs? As in the outlines of a finished product which will include a couple of outlined Futura letters?

All of our bundles come with our single user extended licence, so you can definitely use your fonts to create posters and banners etc to sell commercially. With game usage and client projects, it really depends on how the font will be used. Our licence requires that all of your designs be provided to yoru customers as flattened end designs, so that your fonts cannot be extracted, or worked with in any way. If any other users would like to have access to the fonts, then they will need their own copy of the licence to do so.

The great news is that all of our products come with our single user, extended licence, so you can certainly use these fonts for commercial use. You can definitely use these fonts to create and sell posters, and as you can use your fonts as stand alone, you do not need to add any other elements to these, providing that you are adhering to our terms of use. With logo designs for clients, this should be fine as long as you are providing your client with a flattened end design so that they cannot extract any of your elements in any way.

          Hey Erik,

Thanks so much for your comment on this one and we never mind repeating licensing queries as we know how confusing it can often be :)

You can definitely use your fonts for a website/ websites as long as you are adhering to the terms of use. We actually ask that you use the @fontface css for installing! However you are not permitted to embed the font on a third party/ POD website where third parties are able to work with the font in any way. If you are designing a website for a client, they would not be permitted to work with the font themselves unless they are also licensed so if they would need to make changes after you have finished their website, you would need to ensure that they also have a license to do so!

I hope that helps but please do let me know if you have any other queries!

A few more questions regarding the license:
    – creating a website with a CMS for a client requires a license for every user that accesses the backend or just one for the client company as a whole?
    – will we be able to purchase a license for the single typeface used from you guys after the deal expires or from somewhere else?
    – what’s the price of the licenses for individual fonts gonna be after the deal ends?
    Thank you,
    Cheers!

      Hey Zoran,

Thanks for the questions and I can definitely help! Please always ask as many questions as you have as we want you to be as comfortable with your purchase as can be :)

So all of our products come with a single user, extended licence only which means that only one named user is able to use the fonts- this does mean that a licence is required for anyone in a company who will need to use the font. We can organise a team licence Zoran and I’d be happy to chat more about that if you wanted to pop me an email!

Once this deal expires, if you needed an additional licence for a font, we should be able to help get you set up with that. However we cannot guarantee the price that is currently available whilst this bundle is on this limited time offer as the fonts will revert to their original pricing once this offer expires.

      I hope this helps!

      Hey Mohamed,

Thanks so much for leaving us a comment.

I’m so sorry that you missed the launch price of this product, this deal has actually finished. Due to the popularity of this product we extended the deal two weeks past its original expiry date, because of this we’re actually unable to extend the offer any more -so I’m really sorry that you missed out on this product!

I can definitely pass on your request for a rerun of this deal to our team -to see if we can possibly include something similar in the future.

If you have any questions please let me know as I am always happy to help.

Oh no I am really sorry to hear that you missed this bundle launch price of $49 USD Moobeen!

Due to the popularity of this font collection, we did actually extend this deal for a further week to allow for any of our community who may have missed the original expiry date on the 9th October. As our extension ended on Wednesday 16th October, we unfortunately are unable to extend this offer further now- my sincerest apologies for any disappointment caused!

We do have more font bundles scheduled, and will actually be launching a new font collection really soon, so I hope that you can enjoy checking out more of our available deals!

Oh no I am really sorry if you missed the launch price of The Futur: Greatest Font Bundle of all Time William!

Due to the popularity of this font collection, we did actually extend this discounted deal for an extra week, however as this deal fully ended a couple of weeks ago, the price has now returned to normal and we are unable to extend the discount further unfortunately, so my sincerest apologies for any disappointment caused William. We do actually have more font bundles coming up just around the corner, so I hope that you can enjoy checking out some of our other available deals, and if there are any fonts in particular that you are looking to add to your toolkit, please do let me know and we can definitely see if we can include this one for you again in future.

We’re so happy that you like this collection Pleor!

Unfortunately the heavily discounted price that we offered when this collection first released has well and truly ended now as this expired a few weeks ago. We are unable to extend this offer further, however we hope that you still find this collection great value for money at its current deal price of $199, when compared to the cost of picking these fonts up individually.
