URW++

URW Bodoni

URW Bodoni is a family of 50 serif typefaces first designed by Giambattista Bodoni in 1798. The typeface is classified as didone modern. Bodoni followed the ideas of John Baskerville, as found in the printing type Baskerville, that of increased stroke contrast and a more vertical, slightly condensed, upper case, but taking them to a more extreme conclusion. Bodoni had a long career and his designs evolved and differed, ending with a typeface of narrower underlying structure with flat, unbracketed serifs, extreme contrast between thick and thin strokes, and an overall geometric construction. Though these later designs are rightfully called “modern”, the earlier designs are “transitional”.

Bodoni admired the work of John Baskerville and studied in detail the designs of French type founders Pierre Simon Fournier and Firmin Didot. Although he drew inspiration from the work of these designers, above all from Didot, no doubt Bodoni found his own style for his typefaces, which deservedly gained worldwide acceptance among printers.

Language Support: Afrikaans, Basque, Breton, Catalan, Danish, Dutch, English, Finnish, French, Gaelic (Irish, Scots), German, Icelandic, Indonesian, Irish, Italian, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Saami (Southern), Spanish, Swahili, Swedish.

Blessed Print

The Mozart Script

Have you ever had a dream to write as a professional calligrapher? Penmanship or Spencerian Script? Now you have this unique opportunity to try the early American handwriting. Introducing you an opentype font… The Mozart Script. Very formal and yet playful, with six hundred pre-made alternates. Multilingual font-family with 4 widths. Let me call it the “opentype penmanship” font.

Perfect for:

• Wedding Invitations
• Stationery
• Logos
• Postcards
• Letterpress Address
• Titles

How to access the alternates

As easy as one-two-three… To access alternates just type the number after the letter: a1, a2, a3 etc…
Type your text and start playing with alternates. Each of the letter has around 20 options, but some letters like “t” have even more – around 30. Each of the letter has it’s own number of alternates with common rule: First come intermediate letters then final letters (for the endings) and after that initial letters (for beginning of the word).
Capital letters have 3-4 options. So just type M1, M2, M3 or M4 and find your favorite one!
This method is very fast and makes designer’s life so easy! As for me, I don’t like using the Glyph panel a lot because it stops my creative process, but of course you still may use it without any restrictions. All characters are available through the Glyph panel as well, and even more of the alternate letters have a unicode (PUA) so you can copy/paste from Apple Font Book or Windows Character Map. Total amount of glyphs 1579, includes more then 600 individual alternates.

Opentype Features

First lowercase (after a capital) and last letter swap automatically. You just need turn on Contextual Alternates. Usually Adobe Photoshop and other programs activate it by default. It brings a unique appearance to the script. Elegant swashes remind us of Spencerian calligraphy.

Included in this set:

• Contextual alternates
• Discretionary ligatures
• Stylistics alternates (600+)
• Compatible with SILHOUETTE & CRICUT DESIGN SPACE

MozartScript .TTF
It comes in 4 weights: Thin, Regular, Bold and Black with extra thin main line. I recommend use this option for headings or big text. It has super high contrast between ultra thin and bold lines.

MozartScriptExt .TTF
The only difference between the previous weight and this is that the thin line is a bit wider. I highly recommend to use this option when you type small texts/paragraphs.

MozartScriptCutOff .TTF
An option for special programs like MS Word which do not support opentype features. This version goes without the contextual alternates option.

MozartScript with different names
Another option for designer who use special programs like Silhouette or similar programs which do not show the entire font-family. For this option all of the fonts are saved with individual font names.

Help .PDF
Help file with most common questions answered.

Please note: The Mozart Script doesn’t include OTF files. The reason is that it doesn’t work correctly with long swashes. Please fill free to use TTF instead.

Hawking

Hawking is a slab typeface with slightly squarish shapes and a rational, modern look. The font has a minimal modulation, generous counter forms and relatively large x-height with lowercase ascenders extending above the cap-height for more legibility. Serifs are composed of curved and straight lines, which give the font a robust appearance and strong personality.

Hawking was specially designed for use in scientific publications (hence its name), but it can also be used with other type of continuous text, such as journalistic, technical or literary texts. Its heavier weights make it also well-suited for any display use (e.g. headlines)

Boston

Designed by Daniel Hernández and Paula Nazal. Digital editing by Elizabeth Hernández. Corrections and review by Alfonso García and Rodrigo Fuenzalida.

Boston is a slightly rounded-edged typeface, which is inspired by ‘Trenda’—a geometric sans serif based on the uppercase of ’Trend’ (a Latinotype font, released in 2013, that was very well received). This new typeface comes with a wider character set that offers a complete family of uppercase and lowercase in different weights.

Boston is a versatile easy-to-use functional display font with a strong personality, especially its uppercase, which makes the designer’s work easier.

Boston’s lightest and heaviest variants are ideal for display use while its middle weights work well with short and mid-length texts. This typeface has been designed especially for corporate projects, logotypes and publishing.

Boston comes in 8 weights, ranging from Thin to Heavy, and includes matching italics as well as small caps and alternates. The family contains a 634-character set that supports 206 different languages.

Language Support: Afrikaans, Albanian, Alsatian, Aragonese, Arapaho, Aromanian, Arrernte, Asturian, Aymara, Basque, Bislama, Bosnian, Breton, Catalan, Cebuano, Chamorro, Cheyenne, Chichewa (Nyanja), Cimbrian, Corsican, Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, Estonian, Faroese, Fijian, Finnish, French, French Creole (Saint Lucia), Frisian, Friulian, Galician, Genoese, German, Gilbertese (Kiribati), Greenlandic, Haitian Creole, Hawaiian, Hiligaynon, Hmong, Hopi, Hungarian, Ibanag, Icelandic, Iloko (Ilokano), Indonesian, Interglossa (Glosa), Interlingua, Irish (Gaelic), Istro-Romanian, Italian, Jèrriais, Kashubian, Kurdish (Kurmanji), Ladin, Latvian, Lithuanian, Lojban, Lombard, Low Saxon, Luxembourgian, Malagasy, Maltese, Manx, Maori, Megleno-Romanian, Mohawk, Nahuatl, Norfolk/Pitcairnese, Northern Sotho (Pedi), Norwegian, Occitan, Oromo, Pangasinan, Papiamento, Piedmontese, Polish, Portuguese, Potawatomi, Rhaeto-Romance, Romanian, Romansh (Rumantsch), Rotokas, Sami (Inari), Sami (Lule), Samoan, Sardinian (Sardu), Scots (Gaelic), Seychellois Creole (Seselwa), Shona, Sicilian, Slovak, Slovenian (Slovene), Somali, Southern Ndebele, Southern Sotho (Sesotho), Spanish, Swahili, Swati/Swazi, Swedish, Tagalog (Filipino/Pilipino), Tahitian, Tausug, Tetum (Tetun), Tok Pisin, Tongan (Faka-Tonga), Tswana, Turkish, Turkmen, Turkmen (Latinized), Tuvaluan, Uyghur (Latinized), Veps, Volapük, Votic (Latinized), Walloon, Warlpiri, Welsh, Xhosa, Yapese, Zulu.

Mandevilla

Creation of this typeface for titling, display, and logos was inspired by my exploration and drawing of forms found in nature. Refined, quiet and elegant, yet quirky enough to employ slim filaments that somehow are not faint of heart, Mandevilla is named for the verdant tropical vine. The sturdy plant has firm footing in the soil, then climbs, curving around trees, stretching toward the light, bridging earth and sky.

Mandevilla began as a sans-serif, but its footing, in the form of tiny round lachrymal terminals, roots it and transforms it into a semi-serif. From there the tendrils spiral—especially in the uppercase letters, with their echoes of nautilus shells we held to our ears to hear the ocean—and embrace slender, airy ascenders that tenderly but determinedly rise heavenward. As I sketched, I played with curliques, beginning with the uppercase A. My process usually begins with lowercase letters, but I was fascinated by the spirals and the references to nature, and how that swirl swept around the A, B, and Q, giving each a delicately different personality, within a softly stated whole. The sweep of my pencil both interrupted and completed the diagonal stems of the A and the K, and this idiosyncrasy intrigued me. How would this theme work its way through the alphabet? When I was finished, I sensed spun sugar, or the vines of a delicate plant—and thus its name, Mandevilla.

From there, I moved to the lowercase letters, and sought simplicity to balance the embellishments in the uppercase letters. Round, open, friendly, warm, with just a whisper of the Art Deco period, they soften the more ornate letters yet confer a touch of clarity. Born as sans-serif shapes, their terminals now carry a hint of drops of dew, shifting them to semi-serifs.

Alternates

Alternates are included to allow for versatility, so each design has your unique twist. While the Mandevilla default is decorative, the titling set is unadorned and non-stylized, yet still capturing the airiness of the typeface. Access them in the Open Type panel as Titling Alternates, as seen in the User’s Guide. They’re useful in some larger text settings or simply if the design calls for a more standard look.

Also included are a 3/4 size set, listed and found as small caps. Small caps are typically the size of a lowercase letter, but these 3/4 caps are about 80% of the height of the uppercase letters. They are useful for all uppercase settings—used together, they maintain a sense of a word shape because they are smaller and less ornamented than the initial cap and are serif-free.

A set of swashes offers both upper and lowercase variations, with an especially rich selection for each lowercase letter.

Mandevilla includes a User’s Guide, 950 glyphs, and 210 alternates, including sets of uppercase and lowercase letters (both swash and standard—the standard are listed in the User’s Guide as “Titling Alternates”), and 3/4 uppercase alternates listed as “small caps.” Thirty-eight ornaments complete the package. May your type rise up to meet you as you work!

Language Support: Afrikaans, Basque, Breton, Catalan, Danish, Dutch, English, Finnish, French, Gaelic (Irish, Scots), German, Icelandic, Indonesian, Irish, Italian, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Saami (Southern), Spanish, Swahili, Swedish.

Halcyon

Halcyon is a post-geometric typeface made up of 16 fonts across 8 weights. Each weight contains an upright with a corresponding true italic.

Halcyon’s design builds on the foundations of classic typefaces such as Futura, Gill Sans and ITC Avant Garde, by mixing their geometric structure with more modern humanist qualities and attributes. The result is a friendly and approachable personality with a sophisticated and serious edge. Halcyon feels familiar, but unique, playful but not asinine. The versatility of its character makes Halcyon a reliable choice for any design decision.

With a large variety of weights, and a whole host of Opentype features, Halcyon can adapt to fit the tone of your communications. The lighter weights present a more refined and formal voice, while the heavier, oversized weights grow more exuberant. It’s large x-height and open apertures increase it’s legibility, making it perfect for setting large display headlines or small sized, long form text.

After back and forth checking, I still think this is a bundle that is very worth it to buy. So I did, 25 minutes before the deal is close. He3. Thanks Design cuts, looking forward for another great bundle in the future.

On one hand, I NEED Lovingly Friends and will regret it forever and ever if I don’t snatch this one up. On the other hand, the only thing tighter than my pants this month (I’ve been stress eating like crazy, you see, because one of my doggos is having surgery Wednesday) is my budget.

I think I’ll leave it up to fate. If the bundle is still available when I wake up in the morning, I’ll buy. If it’s not, I’ll weep a bit, but try to be an adult about it.

Bravo, you guys, another excellent one. (Please bring out something that utterly stinks tomorrow, okay?)

      Hey Kathy,

Oh no! We’re so sorry to hear about your dog! The whole team here are wishing him/her all the best!

The bundle has expired now, so I hope that fate worked in your favour this time around and i’ll definitely let the Product Team know to lay off on the next one :D

Can someone contact me, please? I just caved and bought this bundle, which says it doesn’t expire for another hour or so, but in my account and receipt, it gave me another bundle instead! :( I’m so sad, because I hit the buy button just for the Lovingly Friends font.

hello, a query … as a designer in a local communication office, my query is about the use of any of the sources included in this package. The question is this, could we use these resources / sources in a quarterly free publication that collects the news and summaries of activities carried out in my city?

Hi, my name is Antolí and I work as a graphic designer in the communication department of the city council of my city. On a quarterly basis, we launch a free publication (magazine) in which we collect all local information (events, activities, interviews, etc.). Now, we want to give another image, renew the publication and among several things, we have thought about changing the typographies (sources) and renewing them. We have noticed that in “The Professional, Versatile Font Selection, Just $ 29” there are some that we like to be able to renew in this publication.
The question / query is: The purchase of this package, with Full extended license, allows us to use any of the sources that are included for this purpose (a magazine of free local information and material of promotion of the population) with all freedom?

      Hey Antoli,

The great new is you can definitely use your resources in this way as our current licensing terms allow you to use fonts that have been released from Feb 18th 2016 as stand alone :)

It is also worth noting that our license is a single user license, so anyone in your team who will be working with these fonts will require they own copy so that their usage is covered. We also have a revenue cap in place, so if your company exceeds this, then additional licensing is required. I have popped you over an email though to go through this with you in more detail!
