Nothing Like It Has Been Seen In Illustrator

Strikingly beautiful, metallic paint stroke brushes for Adobe Illustrator CC — and you can even change the color right within the program. If you’re very familiar with Illustrator, you might think I’m joking, but think again!

Introducing a completely new way to use Illustrator to paint like a pro — with creamy, dreamy fantasy paint stroke styles! I’ve been working on this revolutionary new brush system since the beginning of January! That’s over 3 months of tons of trial and error, tweaking and perfecting, all so you can just have fun and create! Not only that, I have created a huge library of my trademark tutorial videos to help you get the absolute most from your new favorite brush set!

Vectallic Magic Brush Revolution!

I myself am a huge Photoshop user, using Illustrator only selectively. But there are some incredible things you can only do in Illustrator, and these Vectallic Magic brushes are a great example of harnessing the best of Illustrator’s power! I created this new technique for coloring image brushes for those who like to work more in Illustrator. Even if you’re not a regular Illustrator user, what you can do with these brushes will totally lure you in for some fun!

Whether you’re using the strokes on their own, or just as part of your design or illustration, they elevate your art, change your idea of what’s possible, and save tons of time!

Check out the revolutionary new technique I developed to allow for changing the color of the beautiful image brushes right within Illustrator! I also made a video for a behind-the-scenes look at how I overcame Illustrator limitations to solve the problem of how to color image brushes and create new possibilities for what you can do in Illustrator.

The Essentials Collection Includes:

– Adobe Illustrator CC Brush Libraries: The 20 Vectallic Magic brushes feature 5 unique paint styles and 4 lengths (small, medium, long, extra long), plus there is an additional 20 matching 1-color standard Illustrator brushes, and 5 bonus ink splatter brushes.

– Copy and Paste Brush Charts: I have set up and organized copy and paste brush charts with all of the brushes already applied to a sample stroke, labeled and organized. Most importantly, I have set up the pre-colored strokes, which you will use to be able to easily colorize your own strokes — changing the color, darkness, and intensity with ease — all right within Illustrator!

– Photoshop Bonus Styles: For those of you (like myself), who prefer to work in Photoshop. These Color Add-On Styles allow you to quickly change the color of your strokes or illustrations after pasting them in Photoshop.

– Bonus Photoshop Mixer Brush: I love painting the brush strokes in Illustrator to create the foundation for my illustration, then taking them into Photoshop and smudging the design around with my mixer brush to give it a truly hand-made look. I include my favorite go-to mixer brush, plus give you a great tutorial to show you how easy this technique is!

– In-depth Tutorials: I took the time to make a huge tutorial playlist to walk you through all the aspects of working with the new Vectallic Magic brushes. There are 14 videos and over 88 minutes of instruction included, and I give you all kinds of tips and tricks for getting the most out of these revolutionary new brushes!

– Reference Charts: Handy labeled and organized .JPEG charts with all of the brush strokes.

Don’t use Illustrator CC?

You don’t have to miss out on all the fun and gorgeous strokes if you don’t use or have Adobe Illustrator CC! I’ve included 110 print resolution .PNGs of a variety of shapes created with the brush strokes, so that you can use them in your graphic program of choice. You won’t have the brush functionality obviously, but you can use the shapes created with the brush strokes in your illustrations and designs.

Software compatibility: Adobe Illustrator CC.

This product will not be featured in a Design Cuts deal for at least 3 months, from May 11th, 2016.

Thank you, thank you, thank you. Was gushing all over this one this past weekend!

    • Jessica Johnson says:

Thanks so much for the kind words Claudia! I hope you have loads of fun creating with these fun brushes, and be sure and check out the HUGE YouTube tutorial playlist I put together, to help you get the absolute most from your product! 🙂

      • Claudia says:

Thank you. I adore Instaglam. I love instaglaming everything; so much fun! And your tutorials are awesome too. Thank you so much for making them. I would be so lost without them.

  3. Cheryl West says:

I love the look of these brushes but don’t use Illustrator. Are you planning to make a similar style brush set for Photoshop? I would definitely be interested.

    • Jessica Johnson says:

Hi Cheryl! There is no photoshop equivalent to these strokes, these brushes harness the latest Image Brush technology of Illustrator. There are transparent PNGS included for those who like the look of the strokes, but don’t have Illustrator. If you’re looking for a gold look in photoshop, I have a couple nice gold styles collections here in the marketplace, but they’re not the same as these brushes. Adobe offers a free 30 day trial if you’re ever wanting to try them out. Thanks so much for the comment!

Fantastic job, Jessica. Very valuable set to me, as a long-time Illustrator user, and you’ve showcased some stellar examples of how they can be employed. Tutorial videos to boot? Love it. You’ve got my money. I think there are some incredible things I can do with these effects for the shirts we sell in our little online retail shop. :^)

    • Jessica Johnson says:

Thanks so much Darnell! I hope you get loads of use out of them. I am having a lot of fun myself finding fun ways to use them for my designs, templates and printables!

  5. Amanda says:

Ohhh this looks beautiful but I’m still using Illustrator CS6 is there no way these will work with this program? I may have to just buy them and see how I can use them. Again Beautiful work!!!

    • Jessica Johnson says:

Thanks so much Amanda! Yes, you definitely need Illustrator CC, because these brushes are using the newest Image Brush technology which is only available in CC. There are transparent PNGS included for those who don’t have CC, but who still want to play around with the strokes. Also you might try a free 30 day trial of Illustrator CC if you haven’t already.

      • Amanda says:

🙁 Ok thank you so much! I’ll have to think about which way to go. Beautiful work again tho.

  6. Pat says:

Your brushes are amazing can you use them in Illustrater and Photoshop CS5 or is it only CC

    • Ben Neeves says:

  8. Ed Venella says:

    Amanda,

Absolutely beautiful brushes and looks like they would be a great tool in anyone’s digital toolbox. With that said I understand that the “brush engine” in Illustrator CC is the only app that these brushes are compatible with…but therein lies the dilemma.

There is a significant and large populace of designers and artists who refuse to be baited by Adobe’s CC money scheme and products, and will never have a subscription with them. I am one of them and have been using Adobe products within my 30 years of graphic design experience, but that all came to a halt with the subscription debacle from Adobe whom are very smug and arrogant.

I wish you nothing but the best with these “new” brushes. Thank you!

    • Ben Neeves says:

      Hey Ed,

Thank you so much for your comment and for your kind words about this brush pack! I can totally understand your reluctance with Adobe’s new subscription service that they offer, I know that that it is not for anybody.

I am so sorry you’re unable to use these brushes but thank you so much for your kind well wishes to Jessica. 🙂

If there is ever anything I could assist you with in the future please do get in touch. I’m always happy to lend a hand!

    • aneesah mcnamee says:

I am also one of those graphic designers who ABSOLUTELY will NOT get sucked into the CC. It is unfortunate some of the best apps and features are only avail. through CC and not for the people who fork out close to 2,000$$ for the complete suite, which i have done since the beginning.
Oh well….the brushes look cool, and could think of a hundred different ways of using them …

      • Ben Neeves says:

        Hey Aneesah,

Thank you so much for your comment! You are certainly not alone – We can totally appreciate that not all of our community want to move over to a subscription based service.

Whilst there will be items in our bundles that have been created for CC. Rest assured, we will always do our best to include resources that are compatible with the wide range of design softwares our community members work with so you will certainly still be able to work with a number of bundle items in your software 🙂

Thanks again for getting in touch, Aneesah, and if there are any resources on your wish list that you would like to see in our marketplace or in an upcoming bundle, please do not hesitate to send me some links and I will do my best to secure those items for you!

Beautiful! Really want them but unfortunately don’t have the Illustrator CC version.

    • Ben Neeves says:

Thank you for your kind words, Karen!

I’m really sorry to hear that these brushes won’t work for you. Jessica has included transparent PNGs for those who don’t have CC but want to have a play with the brush strokes. I hope this helps!

  10. Roberta says:

I WANT THIS PACKAGE!! Any plans to make a Photoshop version?

    • Ben Neeves says:

      Hey Roberta,

Thanks for your comment! I’m really sorry but I’m afraid that this is a Illustrator CC only product. Jessica has used the latest Illustrator technology to create this pack so unfortunately there won’t be the option of a Photoshop version. I am so sorry for any inconvenience caused.

Thanks again for your comment, Roberta. If you have any other questions or if there is ever anything I could assist you with please do get in touch. I’m always happy to help!

  11. Bill says:

Can I use these brushes with Photoshop? I don’t have Illustrator.

    • Ben Neeves says:

      Hey Bill,

Thanks for getting in touch! I am so sorry but I’m afraid that Jessica has stated that there is no Photoshop equivalent to these strokes as they have been created using specific Illustrator technology. I apologise for any inconvenience caused!

We do have some awesome Photoshop brushes available in our marketplace so I would definitely recommend checking them out, if you were looking for anything in particular please do let me know and I will happily a hand!
