These Illustrator actions are inspired by vintage comic text effects from the 1950’s. Based on a coloring technique from back in the days, the actions produce an authentic color offset by overlaying yellow, magenta and cyan. And for even more vintage comics awesomeness I have added halftone variations, 3D shadows and text outlines typical for vintage comic book text. All of that in Adobe Illustrator.

FAQ:
• Can I customize the text after running the action? Yes. You can change the overlaying colors, the amount of color offset, the halftone size and color, the shadows, the outlines. The 3D shadow is the only setting which has to be finalized while the action is running. Make sure to read the guide for best results.
• How do I install the actions? The installation is super simple and done in only two steps: 1) open the master file 2) load the actions.
• One of the actions doesn’t seem to produce the desired effect. What do I do? Make sure to check the Troubleshoot section of the guide.
Software compatibility: Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator CS1 or newer. .EPS files will work with a variety of programs such as Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator, Sketch, InkScape, Affinity, Corel Draw, etc. .PNG files will work with most graphic software.
