Watercolour Chevrons Pack

By: Mindful Pixels Rating:

Here we go again with something brand new and perfectly splendid: Watercolour Chevrons! This is the first (of two) volumes of handy chevron packs. They are hand drawn and constructed as building blocks for you to play and create unique and rich designs.

Watercolour Chevrons Pack

Use the chevrons on their own or combine them to create unique borders and patterns. Add splatters, add lines – make the most of the pack using the additional elements for finished look. The Watercolour Chevrons are perfect for invites, greeting cards, weddings, stationery, websites and so much more.

Each chevron has the same angle, so you can stack them and create your own unique designs. Each element is saved in a separate transparent .PNG file so colours are easily applied. The easy-colouring .PSD will get you started with four lovely styles.

Included in this set:

• 24 basic watercolour chevrons
• 23 decorative watercolour chevrons
• 19 middle and end watercolour elements
• 3 chevron watercolour borders
• 18 Additional watercolour elements – backgrounds, lines, splatters
• Easy-colouring .PSD with four styles
• Update: 9 new chevrons – a nifty little kit for creating watercolour arrows
• Bonus: “Mountain Morning” pattern pack – 7 gorgeous high resolution seamless patterns

Software compatibility: Adobe Photoshop CS4 and newer. .PNG files will work with most graphic software.

    1- add color here copy
2- place your chevron here copy
3- place your paper texture here copy

    Bien amicalement,
    Polly

      Hey Polly,

Thank you so much for your comment and please always get in touch with us about any technical queries!

You are absolutely right in that you can open up the chevron layer and add your own design in its place. You can also alter the colours of these so I have added in some instructions for you below:

In your Easy Colouring psd file, you should see a layer named ‘Place Your Chevron’ here. Open this layer up with a double click and remove the view of the example that the designer has placed, then simply drag and drop any of your chevron shapes onto your page in it’s place.

Once you have positioned and re-sized this to your requirements, close the tab and select Save. This should take you back to your psd with your new chevron in place. Open up your Adjustments panel (Window > Adjustments) and open the Hue/Saturation panel.

Check the Colourize box and use the sliders to adjust the colour to your liking. Please note though Polly, this will also effect your background hue, so if you would only like to adjust the chevron colour, you should be able to open your adjustments tab in your ‘Place Your Chevron’ Here layer up to alter the colour before saving this.

You can then layer these to create your own patterns using different colours :).

I hope this works for you Polly and I have also popped you an email to see if there is anything I can do to help you further with this!

Thank you for explaining Annabel how to use the easy colouring pdf. I was able to change the chevron type, but I am still completely baffled about how to change the color of the chevron without changing the background color. Has the designer ever made a video tutorial to explain how to use the pdf or work with the chevrons to create patterns? It would make it a lot easier to understand. I am still a newbie with Photoshop, and I am feeling very uncertain about how to work with these lovely chevrons.

Thanks for making such a nice product available. Sorry I just don’t have the technical skill to use it properly!

          Hey Dawn,

Thanks so much for taking the time to come back to Annabel!

I am so sorry that you’re still having trouble with the Watercolour Chevrons freebie! Myself and Annabel are going to take a look at this for you and record the screen so that you can see us changing the colour as the designer, unfortunately, doesn’t have any further instructions or tutorials. Rest assured though, we’ll get this over to you by tomorrow (Tuesday 22nd January) and hopefully, this will help :)
