The Creative Journey is a unique insight into how to build a creative business from scratch. Follow along as Jo Fallon shows the Design Cuts community the ups and downs of starting her business The Cotswold Chalkboard.

Jo starts this episode of the Creative Journey with a visit to a potential new client, who makes natural soap. This could be a big opportunity for Jo, as the Soap Folk company are attending an event in London, which means the board could get a lot of exposure and a great way of promoting Jo’s business.

Later in the week, Jo heads back to the Seafare Fish and Chip shop to make some updates to the prices on the menu boards. This is not as easy as it sounds, and Jo explains her process of masking the patches, so they don’t leave any visible marks on the board.

Jo ends the episode with a highlight on a new design that’s going to be included in the Design Cuts chalk pack. We think it looks amazing and we can’t wait to release this product to all of you ?
