Thank you so much for agreeing to be a guest on our Community Hangout. We are so excited to chat with you and to let our community get to know you and your work better! Now that your event is booked in, here’s some important information that should help ensure you are ready for our call:

BEFORE THE CALL

The Hangout call is live (don’t worry though, it should just feel like a super relaxed chat between us). It’s hosted on a platform called Crowdcast- in case this is your first time using Crowdcast, we’ve left a link below to some useful information which should help make sure you’re all set for the call. We just use a laptop camera and microphone here in the office so you won’t need any particular gadgets or gizmos!

Guest Checklist

If you could decide on a Title for your event and send that over to hangout@designcuts.com, that would be great! The title should explain what the main topic is going to be and this is something you’ll need to decide based on your area of expertise and what you’d like to share with the community.

Recent Community Hangouts

The call is approximately 1 hour long so we suggest the main topic runs for about 20-30 minutes, leaving some time for a live Q&A afterwards. You’ll also have the opportunity to do some visual screen-sharing, so if there’s anything in particular you’d like to demonstrate or share that would be awesome!

Finally, if you have some portrait headshots of yourself that you could send over for our promos on the main website and our Facebook group, that would be really helpful.

THE DAY OF THE CALL

On the day of the call, we’ll need you to jump on 10-15mins before we go live to test the audio & visuals. I’ll email you your event link for this nearer the time. When you have the event link, we do ask you to share it on your social media/ newsletter as anyone who wants to watch the call live (or watch the replay at a later time) will need to save their spot in advance :)
