Comments & Reviews

  1. I appreciate the shout out and the display of my images. I still think this is a great texture pack. It actually made me want to explore the use of more textures in my work. It also inspired me to make some of my own.

I look forward to more resources from your new store.

    • Tom Ross says:

Thanks James, that’s so great to hear. I’d love to see your textures if possible, and stay tuned for lots more resources as part of our new store :).

  2. Congratulations Design Cuts Team…

I’m SO EXCITED to be the first one to post and wish you all well with the “NEW” Design Cuts Store!

LOVE the Grungy Paper and Card Textures. YOU GUYS are so inspirational to all of us.

Would you believe I took a digital shot of my banana peel yesterday for the texture! Who does that stuff???? Everything I see, I see in textures! I find myself thinking: How can I use that?

LUV & HUGS to you all! THANK YOU for changing so many creative lives!

    • Tom Ross says:

Aw thanks Roz. We’re total texture addicts too, so I often find myself staring at random surfaces and imagining how it would work as a texture.

As always, your support means the world to us. Keep creating, and keep being awesome :).

      • Thank You Tom for the kind words!

I just shared these textures and the other tutorials from the Mockup Templates with my membership.
        – I’m a little later to the party… I feel so ignorant… I could not figure out how to find the page links 😉 THEN I saw the section on Tutorials and clicked in there and used those links. Geez, who would have thought! 😉 I’ve spent the last 3 hours figuring all of this out and I’m still not sure I did it all right, but I got them shared. That’s all that really matters for now. I sent you an email, but know you will be VERY busy with the NEW deal on Tuesday. So take your time! Can’t wait to see what it will be! It’s like a BIG SURPRISE every other Tuesday!

        RE: Textures
        – I’ve even been doing food textures 😉 I’m getting nuttier and nuttier everyday. Every time I see something I wonder if it could be used as a texture or a background somehow ~and run for the camera!

I should be working with the Mockups this week now that the eCards images are updated!

THANK YOU Tom & EVERYONE at Design Cuts for all you do for ALL of us creatives!

Some texture packages from 2 Lil Owls Studio would be beyond fantastic, if not on the store, hopefully another deal soon.

        🙂
        Love the site so much!
        Caleb.

        • Tom Ross says:

Thanks for the great suggestion Caleb. I’m speaking with Denise from 2 Lil Owls today, and we’ll see what we can do to help you :).

  4. Hannah says:

    Hello!

    This is a wonderful pack!

Have you considered making some that are not grungy as well? A smooth clean card board, or cardboard paper stock could really highlight some great design as a background.

    Thanks so much,
& keep up the great work,
    Hannah

    • Tom Ross says:

Thanks so much Hannah, that’s a fantastic suggestion, and I’ll pass it onto David (the photographer behind this pack). I’m sure we can come up with a cleaner pack to help you.

  5. saqib ahmad says:

I am continually frustrated by an inability to download the products. Despite the latest deal being split it will download up to 2/3 and then stop and/ or time out. I have limited bandwidth.
    Surely we can use dropbox?
have had to do this previously
    John Kyngdon

  10. Sharon says:

Hi, can you please confirm which monetary denomination the pricing goes by? Is it Australian dollars or American? I ask because I followed a link from GDB (Australian). I am based in the Euro zone btw.

    • Tina Muller says:

No worries Sharon. All the pries are in US Dollars at the moment, but we’re planning to add a currency add-on, so that everyone can select the currency they prefer to use.

  11. Grant Ingram says:

i have no idea how to use this, i want to design a company logo from your templates??

    • Tina Muller says:

      Hey Grant,

The set you purchased are actually just textures, which means you can use them to make your logo design look a bit more papery, and give it a cool texture, but you’ll definitely need more than these textures to create the logo. Do you need help with using these textures, or would you like some useful links on how to design a logo?

  15. Brett says:

What about a throw back day to an old bundle alongside the new bundle? I just found you guys in November 2014 and I made the mistake of looking at the previous deals and what I had missed… I’ve bought all of them since November and would totally buy the old bundles. Let me know! Thank you.

    • Carol Sweeney says:

      Hey Brett,

Thanks for the comment! We are so glad you found us :).

We do sometimes re-run an older deal as a special bonus, in conjunction with a new deal. The best way to ensure that you don’t miss a deal is to join our free newsletter, by signing up at http://www.designcuts.com.

What would be really great is you made a back with “scenes” that you can place cutouts on. With this quality but a wall with a floor in front or just good surfaces to place cut outs of bodies from waist up.

Also a pack like this but with more concrete, glass with drops or such would be awesome.

Otherwise I love this pack. Thanks!

    • Carol Sweeney says:

      Hey Erik,

Thanks for the feedback on the bundle and for the suggestions. If you have any specific examples, please do send them over to me and we can start sourcing them for you :). We are super pleased to hear that you are enjoying the bundle though!

  18. Zack says:

Is this Paper and Card texture pack a limited time deal, or will this be able to be purchased at anytime from this point on?

    • Carol Sweeney says:

      Hey Zack,

Thanks for your comment, I can certainly help you with this.

The great news is our 100 Grungy Paper and Card Textures pack doesn’t have a time limit and can be purchased any time you like :). Did you have a current project in mind for this pack? I would love to hear about what you’re working on :).

I hope this helps, and please don’t hesitate to contact me should you have any other questions.

    Hello Design Cuts folks,
I have just found your site thanks to Sebastian from Photoshop Artistry (and thanks to the deal you recently made for his members) and I must say I really like it here. I like this 100 grungy paper/postcards texture pack which I may be getting soon (as soon as I stop trying to resist…which won’t take long, I know that much).

As for the ideas for future, I would also be up for a glass texture pack, that might be interesting. Or maybe a wood/trees bark texture pack?

I started using textures in my photos quite recently. It is a great fun. I am just an amateur photographer liking older manual focus lenses and having fun combining things together from time to time. So thanks again for a new place to go to socialize and spend few bucks a month…oh dear….

    • Ben Neeves says:

      Hey Jan,

Welcome to DC! I’m really pleased you’ve joined us, we always love hearing from Sebastian and his students! 😀 I’m glad you like the look of the texture pack!

I love the idea of a glass textures pack, if you had any particular resources in mind please do send them to us and we’ll do our best to source them for you 🙂 There are some really nice wood textures in our Extensive Textures, Patterns and Backgrounds Bundle that currently available as well!

Your photography sounds great! If you ever wanted to share your work I would love to take a look 🙂

      • Jan says:

What kind of resources do you mean? Like a real life source or a pack from around the web I might spot and like?

Extensive Textures, Patterns and Backgrounds Bundle – yes, I am going through that literary right now. I still hear your old-school cash register ringing 🙂 Awesome stuff. I will happily send you some new stuff when I make it. Or you might spot it on my twitter feed 😉 @poutniksantiago or Poutnik Santiago on Flicker. Nothing extraordinary, really. But I appreciate your interest.

We are so pleased you are getting so much use out of them! We would love to see your work if you were keen to share your designs with us 🙂

Hello… I’m a newbie and just finding my way around but hoping these textures might work well for my new business I’m launching. I’m not a graphic designer though and wanted to download the samples pack to send to my graphic designer to see if they work for me. Sometimes what I have in my head doesn’t translate 🙂 The link appears to be broken though – I’m getting a 404 error when I click it?

    Thanks…. Rachel

    • Ben Neeves says:

      Hey Rachel,

Thank you so much for getting in touch! I am so sorry for any inconvenience caused by this link on our site but thank you so much for letting us know about this – I really appreciate you taking the time 🙂

We are just amending this for you now but I am just sending you a quick email to assist you with sampling this textures pack 🙂

Thanks again for letting us know about this, Rachel, and a massive welcome to Design Cuts from me & the whole team! If you have any questions about anything you see on our site please do let me know. I’m always here and happy to help 🙂
