I am a visual artist and I know you have stated that these textures have an extended licence but can I just check again with you: if i use them to print on canvas and paint over then sell as an original artworks this still ok?
haha I know exactly what you mean. You can really get carried away with textures. They’re just so much fun to use. However Tom actually made a video on how to use textures and in particular on how to scale them back, in order to keep the main focus on the design rather than the effects.
Great tutorials – they are a bit overwhelming for me because I use Elements. I loved the short video tutorial that showed the textures being used easily with slight adjustments that I can do in Elements! I’m still hovering over the buy button because there’s quite a lot in the tutorials I can’t do! The textures are absolutely beautiful, though, and very tempting!
Hey Julie, I’m glad you enjoy the tutorials. If you decide to go for it and try some of them, feel free to give me shout should you get stuck at some point. You can always drop me an email at hello@designcuts.com. :)
I really love the video. It’s very visual and easy to follow. Incredibly helpful! The overlay setting is super versatile…I didn’t know it could be layered like this. Thanks.
Thanks very much! I’m glad you found the video useful. If you create anything with the new textures, please feel free to send us your designs. :) You can email them to hello@designcuts.com
Love this new tutorial on the textures! I’ve never actually used them as a shape design before (except in a few frame designs for portraits–but nothing like this). This gives me all kinds of new ideas–yay!
And Roz is correct about DesignCuts’ great advantages of Terms of Usage rights. Many of the freebies & other sites are often either: low-res, personal use only, or carries other restrictive language or costs for commercial availability. Not so with these packages, & at unbeatable prices! It’s why this is is my new favorite place to check to see what deals the team comes up with. My stockpile has multiplied many times over since joining! And always great new ideas on ways to use them. I’m a big fan of these tutorials and deals!
Aww thank you so much Richard! It’s really great to hear you’re enjoying all the design bundles and tutorial we put out. Offering them with extended licenses is really important we find, as so many people design commercially in one way or another.

Tina Muller –
Hey Tauchelle. that is perfectly fine. As long as the textures can’t be extracted from the design it’s all good.
dan stahl –
Wowzers. Great, great stuff. and the correct answer is that you can never overdo textures. :)
Simon H. –
Ha! I actually beg to differ ;-) Remember that the textures are here to support and highlight your subject, not to overcome it.

Julie,
Technically, you should be able to accomplish most of the tutorial in Elements without any issues, even if the menus might be a bit different.
