Achieve a painterly, handmade, textural illustration style easily in Procreate.

I really love texture, and because of that I’m always looking for more ways to add texture to my digital art. I’m a huge fan of the painterly collaged illustrations of artists like Eric Carle, Ezra Jack Keats and Roger Duvoisin, so it felt natural to try and create a pack of brushes that would allow me to easily illustrate in that style. I set about creating the textures using good old paint and paper, trying to emulate that brushy expressive feel. I then photographed, curated, and enhanced my raw material into this set of brushes.
